KRISTINA BROWN

The equine industry has been a lifelong passion of mine. From the breeding shed to the show ring, I find joy in every part of working with horses. I particularly love the process of starting young horses. There is a detailed and thoughtful process that goes into creating the right foundation for each horse to excel in their future career. I believe in the "Good Citizen" method. By that I mean, I work to give each horse good ground and under saddle manners and skills to ensure they will be able to do any job asked of them.

I have worked in breeding sheds and show barns for the last 12 years, honing my skills as a barn manager, groom and trainer. While I do not actively compete as I prefer being behind the scenes, I do co-own a four year old German Riding Pony gelding named Phineas, or "Phantom of the Night" named after his sire, "Evan's Providence of the Night" owned by Edenhof farm. He is the planned show mount for my sister who we hope will compete him in dressage and 3-day eventing.

I am also an equine vet technician at a two-vet practice in Powhatan, VA. I have loved this job and all that it entails, from assisting in surgeries and emergency calls, to in clinic cases with foals and specialty care.

In my spare time, I love to relaxing with my two dogs, visiting new restaurants with my other half in Richmond and Virginia Beach, and reading lots and lots of books.
